Ti-64 (Ti6Al4V) is the most common alpha-beta alloy, considered as the “workhorse alloy of the titanium industry”. Its uses span many aerospace airframes and engine component uses and major non-aerospace applications in the marine, offshore and power generation industries. Its low Oxygen variant, Ti6Al4V ELI (ASTM grade 23) has many uses in bio-medical industries since Ti alloys have superior biocompatibility. Ti6Al4V has a high specific strength and excellent corrosion resistance.
