Tool Steels

H13

H13 chromium hot-work tools steel is widely used in hot and cold work tooling applications. It holds an excellent combination of high toughness and fatigue resistance, exceeding any other tool steel. Heat treated it reaches hardness levels of >52HRC and high tensile strength.

M2

M2 is a Molybdenum high speed tool steel used in cutting and forming tools. Its high Carbon content allows for very high hardness (>64HRC) after hardening and tempering cycles, also manifested in great wear resistance without loss of toughness.

D2 TOOLS STEEL

D2 tool steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium alloy known for its high wear resistance, hardness, and stability in dimensional precision. Its elevated chromium content provides moderate corrosion resistance when hardened. Additionally, D2’s high carbide concentration enhances its durability against wear during contact with metals and abrasive materials. With a well-balanced combination of wear resistance and toughness, D2 is commonly used in applications like rolls, punches, dies for blanking, forming, and trimming, as well as shear knives and similar tools.
